About Me

Hi, I’m Holly
I like long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners. But seriously, who doesn’t? Okay, okay, let’s get to the good stuff.
I always wanted to be a writer. I’ve been scribbling in journals for as long as I can remember, and I have a deep reverence for the written word. Poetry, prose, essays, book reports, even emails…I like to write them. In college, I majored in Mass Communications where I focused on Journalism. But my *almost* double-major in Business Administration has served me pretty well.
After college, I found that the newsroom didn’t light a spark within me, and I kept searching for alternative passions. I moved from the Black Hills of South Dakota to the High Desert of Central Oregon. I dabbled in yoga, wellness writing for the local weekly newspaper, and growing cannabis for medical patients.
I then found myself working for a start-up cannabis company here in Bend. What started as social media management and copywriting turned into a leadership role as Sales Director. I spent several years building out distribution networks and hustling hash alongside an equally passionate group of humans. It was a cross-functional position, and I worked closely with marketing, creative, and product development teams. What an incredible learning experience.
When I left the company, I wanted to get back to my roots — writing. I adore stringing words together into coherent works of art that captivate and compel. Having learned a thing or two about branding, marketing, and sales, I took my writing to the next level. I earned my OMCA certification to increase my digital marketing skills and started taking on clients.
I created postgold because I believe small businesses have a lot on their plate, and I am great at helping brands achieve their sales and marketing goals. Developing educational, engaging content is a true JOY for me. My work is continually evolving, and I’m excited to share many new things with you in the months and years to come.
When I’m not working, I’m likely gardening, performing all sorts of kitchen witchery, working on my line of organic skin care, writing on Medium, or studying Human Design. I love spending time outdoors with my husband, stepdaughter, two beloved dogs, and a cat named Bob. I hope to see you out in the real world on a river, lake, or trail.
In good health,
Holly
